AllClients vs HubSpot

AllClients is client management software for small business, built around follow-up. Landing pages, forms, email marketing, follow-up automation and AI are included in every plan, starting at $24 a month. It's built for the non-technical owner who sells to consumers and runs the follow-up themselves.

HubSpot is a free CRM inside a large marketing, sales and service platform, priced by seats, marketing contacts and product tiers. It's built for growing companies with a team to run it. Simple automation starts on their Starter tier; the marketing automation HubSpot is known for lives on Marketing Hub Professional, which carries a required one-time onboarding fee.

The short version

These two tools are built for different companies. Here's the quickest way to tell which one is yours.

HubSpot is the better fit if

  • You want a genuinely free CRM to start with and can grow into the paid tiers
  • You have a marketing team, or plan to hire one
  • You want one platform that can eventually run marketing, sales, service and your website
  • You'll use the training ecosystem: HubSpot Academy, certified partners, a large integrations marketplace

AllClients is the better fit if

  • You're the owner, running the follow-up yourself
  • You want automation and email marketing in the plan at $24, not up a tier ladder
  • You want a bill that doesn't move with seats and contact tiers
  • You'd rather set up in an afternoon than budget for onboarding

Where the automation lives on each

Take one job: keep your contacts, automate your follow-up, and send marketing email to a list. On AllClients that job is one plan. On HubSpot it's a climb, and it's worth knowing the rungs before you start.

The free CRM holds your contacts and captures leads, and it does that genuinely well. Free email marketing carries HubSpot branding and allows one email automation. Starter removes the branding and adds simple automation. The marketing automation HubSpot built its name on, the multi-step, multi-channel workflows, is a Marketing Hub Professional feature. Professional includes three seats, prices email by your marketing contact tier, and requires a one-time onboarding fee before you start.

Then there's how the bill behaves after you buy. HubSpot's price has three dials: how many seats you add, which product tier you're on, and how many marketing contacts you hold. When your list crosses the contact limit, the plan moves to the next contact tier on its own. Growing your list is the whole point of a CRM, so on HubSpot, succeeding raises the bill. On AllClients, growing past the Select plan's 1,500 contacts means moving up one plan to Premium at $48, where the automation tools go unlimited and you can see that price today.

Where HubSpot is the cheaper way in. Free. HubSpot's free CRM is the most generous free tier in the category, and if contacts, forms and branded email cover the whole job, it costs nothing and you should use it. The comparison starts where the free tier ends: the day you want the follow-up to run itself.

How each one is organized

Underneath the feature lists and the tiers, the two products are built for different companies. That's the difference that should decide it.

HubSpot is built around the department

The platform is organized into Hubs: Marketing Hub for the marketing team, Sales Hub for the sales team, Service Hub for support. Each Hub has its own tiers, seats and limits. It's a company org chart expressed as software, and for a company with those departments, that's exactly right.

AllClients is built around the person

Every contact has a next step, and the question is when. Contacts, lead capture, email marketing and automated follow-up sit in one product because for the owner-run small business, one person does all four jobs.

If your business has a marketing department, or will soon, HubSpot's model fits, and the platform grows with the org chart. If the marketing department is you, between appointments, AllClients was built for exactly that, and it's why the whole loop comes in one $24 plan instead of arriving Hub by Hub.

Where HubSpot is the better tool

The free CRM

The best free tier in the category, full stop. Contacts, forms, branded email, live chat, at no cost, forever.

Room to grow into

Sales sequences, a service desk, a website builder, deep analytics. If your company will one day run a marketing department, the platform is built to go there.

Reporting and attribution

Custom reporting arrives at Professional and attribution modeling at Enterprise. If you manage marketing to a revenue number, that's their territory.

The ecosystem

HubSpot Academy, certified partner agencies, and one of the largest integration marketplaces anywhere. Whatever you're stuck on, someone has made a course about it.

Where AllClients is the better tool

Price that doesn't move

One plan price with the users and contacts included. The bill doesn't change when you add a person, and it doesn't step up on its own when your list crosses a line.

Automation at the entry price

Follow-up automation is in every plan from $24 a month rather than waiting at the top of a tier ladder.

Nothing to buy before you start

No required onboarding fee. Import your contacts and build the first workflow the same afternoon.

One product, not four departments

Contacts, lead capture, email marketing and follow-up in a single tool, because the owner doing all four jobs shouldn't have to assemble Hubs.

A person on the phone

US-based support on every plan, with no demo or sales call to get started. HubSpot's phone support arrives at Professional.

Questions people ask

Is HubSpot really free?

Yes, genuinely. The free CRM includes contact management, forms, email marketing with HubSpot branding, and live chat, with no time limit. What it doesn't include is the follow-up automation: free allows one email automation, and the full marketing automation workflows are a Marketing Hub Professional feature.

Is HubSpot more expensive than AllClients?

At the free tier, no, nothing beats free. Matched on the full job, contacts, lead capture, email marketing and automated follow-up, HubSpot prices that job at the Marketing Hub Professional level, by seat and by contact tier, with a required onboarding fee. AllClients prices the same job at $24 a month, flat.

Can I move my contacts over from HubSpot?

Yes. Export your contacts from HubSpot as a CSV and AllClients will bring them in for you. Data migration is free and there are no setup fees.

Which one fits a small business with no marketing team?

That's the dividing line. HubSpot is built to scale with a growing team, and it rewards having someone whose job is to run it. AllClients is client management software for the business where the owner is the marketing team, which is why the automation is in every plan and the setup is an afternoon, not an onboarding.
