How Text Messaging Works in AllClients
AllClients includes integrated text messaging so you can send and receive SMS directly from your CRM. Every conversation is logged on the contact record alongside emails, notes, and call history, keeping all your communication in one place.
Where to Find Texting in AllClients
Texting is available throughout the system:
Dashboard. The Texting Alerts widget shows unread messages the moment you log in. Click to jump straight into the conversation.
Text Messaging Center. Your texting home base is found under Automation > Text Messaging Center. All your conversations in one place: contacts on the left, message thread on the right.
Contact Cards. Click the chat bubble icon next to any contact's phone number to open a texting window right on the spot. Read the history, send a reply, and keep working without leaving the contact record.
Workflows. Add text messages as steps in any workflow. Appointment reminders, follow-up sequences, birthday greetings, and re-engagement campaigns. Texts are sent automatically using merge fields and saved templates.
Text Templates. Create reusable templates in Settings so your most common messages are always ready to go. Templates support merge fields for automatic personalization.
What It Costs
There is no additional monthly fee for text messaging in AllClients. It's included in every plan.
You connect your own SMS provider account (we support Textmagic, ClickSend, and Twilio) and pay them directly for the messages you send. No middleman markup. Most small businesses spend just a few dollars a month.
Getting Set Up
Connecting your SMS provider to AllClients only takes a few minutes. However, before you can start sending messages, your provider will need to complete 10DLC registration, which is a carrier-required verification process for business texting. That typically takes about a week. Plan accordingly, and don't worry if you can't send right away after setup. Our help center has everything you need, from setup instructions to daily usage tips to compliance best practices.
A Note for VoiceTouch Users
VoiceTouch was an optional add-on that combined a virtual phone greeting system with basic text messaging. If you're currently using it, the integrated text messaging in AllClients replaces the texting side. It's a significant upgrade: a dedicated messaging center, texting from contact cards, workflow integration, templates, and dashboard alerts are all things VoiceTouch texting couldn't do.
VoiceTouch will eventually be retired. If you're still using it, your service continues working for now, but we encourage you to make the switch. Our setup guide walks you through the process, and our support team is here to help with the transition.
